9ltr Water

Model 240 is a 9 litre water extinguisher and utilises the famous Amerex stainless steel body with a heavy duty chrome plated brass valve and stainless steel handles. The discharge time of between 40 - 50 seconds coupled long range application makes the 240 very effective and operator friendly for use on Class A fires. Model 246 is a 6 litre water extinguisher and utilises the famous Amerex stainless steel body with a heavy duty chrome plated brass valve and stainless steel handles. The discharge time of between 25 - 35 seconds coupled with spray application makes the 246 very effective and operator friendly for use on Class A fires.
Red models are Kitemarked and BAFE approved to BS EN3. Polished finish also available. 10 year guarantee*.

9ltr Water Mist

Model 272 contains 9 litres of de-ionised water and discharges a fine water mist which is the ultimate extinguishant for Class A fires especially where a potential electrical hazard exists. The fine spray from the unique misting nozzle provides safety from electrical shock, greatly enhances the cooling and soaking characteristics of the media and reduces the scattering of burning material. Unequivocally the best extinguisher for hospital environments, telecommunications facilities and 'clean room' manufacturing facilities. Ideal protection for Hospitals, Healthcare facilities, MRI facilities, Archive's and Libraries.

6ltr & 9ltr Foam

These extinguishers contain an AFFF foam solution, giving excellent Class A and Class B fire extinguishing capability. Model 250 is fitted with an aspirating branch pipe whilst models 256 and 259 are supplied with a patented spray nozzle for easy and effective application. All models are manufactured with a stainless steel body, fitted with heavy duty chrome plated brass valves and stainless steel handles. Approved for use on shipping under SOLAS and IMO regulations. (Model 250)

Red models are Kitemarked and BAFE approved to BS EN3. Polished finishes are also available. Certified under the European Marine Directive (Model 250)

1kg & 2kg Powder

Models 417T and 425T are the 1kg and 2kg ABC powder extinguishers in the Amerex range. These models contain high specification ABC powder and are manufactured from high strength steel cylinders with a red epoxy polyester paint finish. Both models have aluminium valves and handles.

Approved for use on shipping under SOLAS and IMO regulations for lifeboats and rescue boats. Both 417T and 425T are supplied with a transport bracket.

4kg, 6kg & 9kg Powder

Models 441, 668 and 423 are the 4kg, 6kg and 9kg ABC Powder extinguishers in the Amerex range. These models contain high specification ABC Powder and are manufactured from high strength steel cylinders with a red epoxy polyester paint finish. All models are supplied with heavy duty chrome plated brass valves and stainless steel handles.
Red models are Kitemarked and BAFE approved to BS EN3.

9kg Purple K

Model 415 is the 9kg Purple K Powder extinguisher in the Amerex range. This model contains the high specification Purple K Powder for use in situations where high fire fighting capability is required. This model is manufactured from high strength steel cylinders with a red epoxy polyester paint finish. Model 415 is supplied with a heavy duty chrome plated brass valve and stainless steel handles. Ideal where high performance is required such as oil, gas and chemical industries.

2kg & 5kg CO2

Models 920 and 950 are the 2kg and 5kg carbon dioxide extinguishers in the Amerex range. These models are manufactured for lightweight aluminium alloy cylinders with a red paint finish. Both models have brass valves.

Carbon Dioxide is discharged as a white cloud which smothers the fire by eliminating its oxygen. It is effective for Class B flammable liquid fires and is electrically nonconductive.

9ltr Water BW9MED

Water extinguishes by cooling the fire which removes the heat needed to sustain it, and is the most environmentally friendly chemical available for fighting fires.
Water will extinguish class A (Carbonaceous) fires. Approved and certified to BS EN3, Kitemarked product, Wheel marked in accordance with the MED, CE marked in accordance with the PED, Diecast zinc colour coded headcap, Manufactured in Great Britain, Large neck ring enables servicing and refilling to be conducted with ease, Designed for long service in harsh conditions.

9ltr Foam BAF9MED

The Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) additive is a blend of perfluorinated and hydrocarbon surfactants. It enables the formation of an aqueous film capable of
spreading on the surface of burning fuels, which prevents vapour production and seals the surface from oxygen. AFFF will extinguish class A (carbonaceous)
fires and class B (flammable liquid) fires. Approved and certified to BS EN3, Kitemarked product, Wheel marked in accordance with the MED, CE marked in accordance with the PED, Colour coded headcap, Manufactured in Great Britain, Excellent fire ratings, Large neck ring enables servicing and refilling to be conducted with ease.

6kg Powder BA6MED 9kg Powder BA9MED 12kg Powder BA12MED

ABC powder is a combination of Monoammonium phosphate and ammonium sulphate. The extinguishing powder interferes with the chemical reactions that
take place in the combustion zone, thus the flame ceases to exist. The powder also has a low melting point and on application the particles fuse and swell to form a barrier which excludes oxygen and completes the extinguishing process and prevents reignition. The powder is non conductive and may be used in the presence of an electric current. ABC powder will extinguish class A (carbonaceous) fires, class B (flammable liquid) fires and class C (flammable gas) fires.
